The Oden Ewa Foundation has released the list of successful candidates for its 2025 Scholarship Programme at the Federal Polytechnic, Ugep. The initiative, designed to run for ten years, aims to empower young Nigerians through education and skill development, particularly in emerging fields such as Artificial Intelligence and human capacity building.
Under the scheme, 150 students are selected annually as beneficiaries. The scholarship is cumulative, meaning each new set of awardees joins continuing beneficiaries from previous years. By next year, the programme will support 300 students, comprising 150 returning and 150 new scholars.
In a statement signed by the Director of Administration, Dr. Usani Joseph Ofem, successful candidates were advised to visit the Foundation’s Secretariat to collect their scholarship letters or check their registered email addresses for downloadable copies.
Dr. Ofem reaffirmed the Foundation’s commitment to sustaining the scholarship, noting that the Chief Executive Officer, Hon. Oden Ewa, remains dedicated to using education as a tool for empowerment and social transformation.
“Hon. Oden Ewa believes that true empowerment comes through education. His vision is to nurture a generation that understands its value and contributes meaningfully to society rather than being misled by those who do not value them,” Dr. Ofem stated.
He further explained that the selection process was transparent and merit-based, conducted in line with the Foundation’s established criteria without favoritism or external influence.
Dr. Ofem, a seasoned educationist and administrator, added that the Oden Ewa Foundation remains committed to promoting excellence, equity, and opportunity among Nigerian youths. He urged the beneficiaries to remain dedicated to their studies and serve as ambassadors of the Foundation’s values.
The Foundation congratulated all successful candidates and encouraged them to make the most of the opportunity to advance their academic and personal development.
