Southern Kaduna Leadership To Honour Ex-CDS Gen. CG Musa With Grand Reception, Jerry Adams Heads SKFEST Finance C’ttee

 

As part of activities to welcome back home their illustrious son after a fulfilled professional career as a four star military General and the immediate past Chief of Defence Staff ( CDS), the Southern Kaduna Leadership Council (SKLC), is organising a Grand Reception for General Christopher Gwabin Musa.

The Grand Reception which is scheduled for Saturday 22nd November, 2025 will take place in Kafanchan Township Stadium, the Commercial headquarters of the Southern Kaduna region.

At its 19th Council Meeting held at the Throneroom Trust Ministry, Kafanchan yesterday 30th October, SKLC Chairman, Elder Ishaya Dary Akau (OON), announced that General Musa will be decorated with its highest honour of the Grand Commander of Southern Kaduna, for representing the region, Kaduna State and Nigeria at large as a worthy Ambassador in his military career and the most outstanding Chief of Defence Staff in the country.

Also at the meeting, SKLC inaugurated the Executive Chairman, Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS), Comrade Jerry Adams as the Chairman of Finance Committee of the Southern Kaduna (Cultural) Festival, SKFEST, with Hon. Larai Sylvia Ishaku, Executive Chairman, Jaba Local Government Area, to served as Secretary.

Other members of the committee included; Hon. Wilson Iliya Yangye, Deputy Controller, Universal Insurance; Mr Kabir Kasim, Corporate Affairs Manager, North, Ngeria Breweries, PLC; Hon. Christopher Haruna, former Chairman, Zango Kataf Local Government Area, and Mr Danjuma Kai, among others.

The Council meeting which was also attended by government officials led by Kaduna State Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Henry Danjuma Magaji and Hon. Ado Dogo Audu, Counselor to Kaduna State Governor on Political Matters, briefed council that Governor Uba Sani has secured approval for federal government special intervention for the reconstruction of the Jere-Kagarko Jaba Kwoi-Kafanchan road.

Other government officials at the meeting were; Local Government Chairmen of Kachia, Dr Daniel Manzo Maigari; Jema’a, Hon. Peter Tanko and the Commissioner for Sports, Prof. Ben Gugong among others who also brief council on development concerns in the region and the state at large, including calls to mobilize eligible voters in the state to partake in the ongoing Voter’s Card registration exercise by INEC.

SKLC in council congratulated and prayed for its member and Chairman, Community Development Associations (CDAs) Forum, His Highness, Mr Bature Sunday Likoro on his appointment as the Agwom Ikulu (Kamuru) III, the paramount ruler of Ikulu Chiefdom, Zango Kataf Local Government Area.
