Major General Abdullahi Mohammed (Rtd), a former Governor of Plateau State and Chief of Staff to two Nigerian presidents, has died at the age of 86.
He died in the early hours of Wednesday, November 5, 2025, after a life of dedicated service to Nigeria. According to a social media statement by Ambassador Yahaya Kwande.
The late General Mohammed had a distinguished military and political career, serving in various capacities, including as National Security Adviser to General Abdulsalami Abubakar and Director General of the National Security Organization during the administration of General Olusegun Obasanjo.
