In a dramatic move, Vice President JD Vance has announced a nationwide investigation into alleged voter fraud, focusing initially on the New York City mayoral race.
Speaking before Congress, Vance presented what he called “irrefutable evidence” of inconsistencies in vote counts across multiple boroughs, suggesting “systematic manipulation of ballot entries”.
“This isn’t about one election,” Vance declared. “It’s about ensuring every American vote — Republican or Democrat — is counted honestly.”
The investigation was sparked by whistleblower reports of duplicate ballots, misprinted barcodes, and unexplained digital voter log entries. Vance’s evidence includes internal emails discussing “ballot batch irregularities”, time-stamped photos of double-processed envelopes, and unusual access patterns in New York’s electronic voter registration system.
“No one is above accountability — not politicians, not officials, not anyone,” Vance stated, pointing directly at a high-ranking New York election official who had dismissed fraud allegations as “conspiracy theories”.
The move has polarised politicians, with Democrats accusing Vance of politicisation and Republicans demanding transparency. The Department of Justice has been alerted, and state legislatures are reviewing voting systems.
Vance emphasised that those found guilty will face maximum federal penalties. “Fairness must always come before politics,” he said. “If America loses faith in its elections, then we’ve already lost everything.”
