In my sixteen-year labour in the marketplace, I got to know firsthand why it is impossible to make it to the very top of the marketplace of the nations without the aid of a spirit! It is because the physical world, as we have already established, is a derivative of the spiritual one – the visible world was framed by the invisible God. This the Bible has incontestably asserted thus,
By faith we understand that the worlds [during the successive ages] were framed (fashioned, put in order, and equipped for their intended purpose) by the word of God, so that what we see was not made out of things which are visible. (Hebrews 11:3, AMP)
The control towers, command structures and power loci of the visible world are buried deep in the world whose existence is beyond the eye level of mortal men. It is like the commercial electricity we enjoy in our homes: The source of it is far removed from us. In most cases, where electricity is produced is hundreds and thousands of miles away from our homes. So we have no control whatsoever over what powers all our electronic hardware. Why? We have no hand in its production; we are at the bottom of the value chain, which is consumption.
In the same vein, production does not happen in the physical. It only happens in the spiritual. What happens in the physical is retail and consumption – selling and buying. So the marketplace of the nations, therefore, becomes the place where power sources are retailed and consumed. Those who wield the most power are they that have an intimate knowledge and operational know-how of their spirit support system. This is why the Bible says,
…the people who know their God shall prove themselves strong and shall stand firm and do exploits (Daniel 11:32, AMP)
Note that the knowledge spoken of in the verse of Scripture quoted above is more experiential than it is mental. Exploits in the marketplace are wrought by those who have a direct, personal connection, commitment and devotion to a spirit by covenant.
On the ladder of success in the marketplace, only a few notches can be climbed by hard work, education, training, expertise and all such things that can be acquired by human effort. There is a level the human labour cannot climb beyond. It is at such a point that the upward transportation service and leadership of a spirit are required. This is true for all walks of life as figured in all the people systems under the heaven.
