The Senator representing the federal Capital Territory , FCT ,Ireti Kingibe has expressed shock and sadness over the death of Senator Okey Ezea who represented Enugu North Senatorial Zone.
In a statement issued in Abuja, the FCT legislator described Senator Ezea’s passing is a profound loss not only to those who loved him dearly, but to the nation, which he served with unwavering commitment and honour.
According to her, Senator Okey Ezea was a man of clarity, courage, and conviction who stood firmly for what he believed was right, championed the needs of his people and worked tirelessly for the progress of our country.
Senator Ireti Kingibe emphasized that the late legislator’s voice, his passion, and his dedication to public service will be remembered with great respect.
She prays that God strengthens,comfort and uphold the Ezea family and that his soul finds eternal rest, as his memory continues to be a blessing to all who knew him and to the nation he served.
Late Senator Okey Ezea who represented Enugu North Senatorial Zone and Senator Ireti Kingibe were amongst the comparatively few legislators elected on the platform of the Labour Party.
