The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has called on Corps Members to imbibe and uphold the nation’s core values throughout their service year and beyond.
The NYSC Director-General, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, disclosed this while addressing the 2025 Batch ‘C’ Corps Members currently undergoing the Orientation Course in Rivers State.
He urged them to be patriotic, and allow integrity, efficiency, transparency, commitment and other good virtues to be their guiding principles.
Emphasising the need for team spirit, he also enjoined them to see themselves as one indivisible family.
In a statement signed by the NYSC Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, the DG commended the Corps Members for answering the clarion call to serve their fatherland and encouraged them to make meaningful contributions to national development.
Earlier, the NYSC Rivers State Coordinator, Mr Moses Oleghe, had presented the Camp situation report to the Director-General, saying the Two Thousand Five Hundred and Eighty-Six Corps Members undergoing the Orientation Course had demonstrated a high level of discipline, patriotism and commitment.
