Speaking at a press briefing on Tuesday at the APC Secretariat, Lokoja, the State Chairman of the APC, Hon. (Dr.) Abdullahi Bello (Dollar), reaffirmed the party’s readiness to uphold internal democracy and create an equal playing field for all contestants in line with the timetable released by the Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission (SIEC).

Addressing journalists, Hon. Bello emphasized that the APC remains a party built on inclusiveness and unity, urging all aspirants to pursue their ambitions without fear or intimidation.
“Our party is committed to a credible process devoid of rancour. We encourage every aspirant to advance their dreams by strictly following the guidelines provided by the APC and SIEC. No one will be sidelined,” he assured.
The chairman praised the unwavering loyalty and support of Kogi citizens and APC members toward the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, describing their dedication as the foundation of the party’s achievements so far.

According to him, the successes of the Ododo administration are a direct product of the collective cooperation and commitment of party faithful who have continued to stand firmly behind the leadership.
Hon. Bello expressed gratitude on behalf of the Governor and the party leadership, pledging sustained delivery of democratic dividends across the state regardless of political affiliation.
“We are one family and one state. The administration remains focused on serving the people of Kogi State with fairness and equity,” he added.
As the Local Government Elections draw near, the APC chairman appealed for calm, unity, and peaceful conduct throughout the process. He stressed that the spirit of sportsmanship must guide all aspirants, noting that the real victors at the end of the process will be the people of Kogi State.

He further encouraged aspirants and supporters to channel complaints or concerns to the party’s secretariat, assuring them of prompt attention and transparency at every stage.
The press briefing concluded with a renewed call for vigilance and steadfastness toward the ideals that have sustained the APC’s influence in the state.
