Voters in Nasarawa North have been urged to rally behind the illustrious son and former Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State, Hon. Silas Ali Agara, in his potential bid for the senatorial seat in the 2027 general elections.
The Nasarawa North Solidarity Group made the call on Tuesday during a town hall engagement meeting in Akwanga, reiterating its call for Agara, who currently serves as Director-General of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE), to run for Senate.
A grassroots mobilizer and leader of the group, Idris Hassan Allu, emphasized that Agara’s extensive experience and network make him the ideal candidate for the position.
“He consistently demonstrates a commitment to empowering the youth, driving economic growth, and enhancing access to education. His dedication has earned him widespread respect,” the group leader added.
Also speaking, Abdul Usman Shuaib urged the NDE boss to contest for the senatorial seat to ensure Nasarawa North receives its fair share from the central government.
By the end of the meeting, support for Agara was evident. The attendees pledged to back him if he decides to run, convinced that his leadership can bring about meaningful change to the senatorial district.
The gathering concluded with a unanimous and energetic voice vote, urging Agara to join the senatorial race.
This push from the Nasarawa North Solidarity Group demonstrates the growing momentum behind Agara’s potential candidacy across the senatorial district. People from diverse backgrounds, particularly young individuals, are rallying behind him.
The group also endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term and pledged to leave no stone unturned in ensuring a landslide victory in the 2027 presidential election.
