Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan has announced a series of major development projects for her alma mater, Federal Government College (FGC) Idoani in Ondo State, marking her return to the school 28 years after serving as its Head Girl.
The senator revealed that she is facilitating several landmark projects scheduled for completion next year. These include a 2000 seat capacity auditorium, a 500 seat multipurpose hall, 10 staff quarters, 300 solar powered streetlights and a 50,000 litre solar powered water system.
Senator Uduaghan described the gesture as an expression of gratitude rather than a political move. She noted that FGC Idoani played a significant role in shaping her discipline, character and leadership qualities during her formative years.
According to her, giving back to the institution that contributed to her growth remains a personal commitment. She added that the visit and announcement were especially meaningful as they came on the eve of her 46th birthday.
The planned projects are expected to improve infrastructure, enhance learning conditions and provide a more conducive environment for staff and students of the college.
