Funtua Flag-off Maiden Facebook Connect In Grand Style

In a remarkable display of media connectivity and engagement, the city of Funtua, Katsina State, Nigeria, was at the weekend agog as it played host to the first ever Facebook Connect event, with great fanfare.
Organised and hosted by a team of vibrant youths led by Ibrahim Muazzam Yushau, Funtua Facebook Connect event aimed at fostering digital connectivity, innovation, and collaboration.
The event commenced at about 4pm with a vibrant opening ceremony, featuring poetry, traditional music and dance performances, creating a festive atmosphere.
Attendees were entertained by a large stage performance adorned by an impressive array of banners. The stage was set for a series of engaging presentations, discussions, and interactive sessions.
The event was attended by numerous prominent personalities, making it a memorable occasion ever witnessed in the history of Funtua town.
Among the notable personalities in attendance were government officials, business leaders, tech enthusiasts, and social media influencers, such as Alh. Abubakar Ammani, Samaila Ghali, Sulaiman Garba, Khalipa Aliyu Ibrahim Alti, Mallam Murtala Saidu Alti and Ibrahim Bala Abdullahi Funtua.
Also present are Hon. Kamalu Alti, Hon. Salmanu Abu Maigishiri, Hon. Aminu Ubale among other key political figures.
The presence of these distinguished individuals served to underscore the significance of the event and its potential impact on the community.
Prominent guest speakers shared their insights on the importance and utilisation of social network such as Facebook in different aspects of human lives. They emphasized the role that platforms like Facebook can play in driving economic growth, social change, and creating opportunities for individuals and businesses alike.
Engr. Tukur Muhammad Lawal who is the current DG NIGCOMSAT was the key speaker ‘Movement and struggle for tertiary infrastructure in Funtua LG (Education and Health Care Services) where are we?
Prof. Usman Muhammad Shuaibu Zinnurain and  Barr. Lawal A. Amah were the first and second discussants respectively.
In addition to the enlightening discussions, attendees had the opportunity to engage as the event facilitated meaningful conversations, fostering collaboration and the exchange of ideas among participants from various backgrounds.
The Funtua Flag-off Maiden Facebook Connect event undoubtedly served as a significant milestone in the journey towards a digitally empowered community. By bringing together influential figures, technology enthusiasts, and local stakeholders, the event laid the foundation for future collaborations and advancements in the region.
