Senior Pastors of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Paul Enenche and Becky Enenche, have donated a patrol vehicle to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) to strengthen emergency response along the busy Airport Road corridor in Lugbe, Abuja.
The presentation was made during the church’s Sunday service, in what the ministry described as part of its commitment to supporting public safety and emergency services in the Federal Capital Territory.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Paul Enenche said the gesture aligns with the church’s dual mandate of “serving God and serving humanity,” stressing that faith must be accompanied by practical acts of compassion.
“What we are doing right now is to ensure that lives are saved and to ensure that the work is effortless for the personnel,” he said. “We want to ensure people fulfill their days instead of being cautious because of the safety situation.”
He noted that partnering with the FRSC — the agency statutorily responsible for road safety — was a deliberate step toward reducing road accidents and related fatalities.
“While we pray, we work as well,” he added. “It is not possible to walk closely with God and not feel passionately for humanity.”
In a related development, the cleric commissioned a new fire service facility established by the church. He assured residents that the fire truck and trained personnel are fully operational and prepared to respond to emergencies, including vehicle and residential fires, along the Airport Road axis.
Dr. Becky Enenche reaffirmed the church’s commitment to humanitarian interventions across different sectors, both within Nigeria and internationally.
Receiving the patrol vehicle on behalf of the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, Assistant Corps Marshal Godwin Omiko described the donation as a “wonderful gesture” and urged other well-meaning Nigerians and corporate organisations to emulate the example.
“Road safety is a shared responsibility,” he said. “Today, Dunamis International has answered their call in assisting us to make the environment safe for motorists. The Corps Marshal is extremely happy with this partnership.”
However, Omiko clarified that the donation does not confer immunity from traffic regulations on members of the church.
In recognition of their contribution to road safety advocacy, the FRSC conferred its highest honour on the Enenches, appointing them Honorary Special Marshals.
The FCT Commandant, Felix Theman, who decorated the pastors, described the recognition as a call to greater responsibility.
“This honour comes with significant responsibility. We are only giving you a label for more work, and we believe the Lord will strengthen you for it,” he said.
He also urged members of the church and worshippers joining services from viewing centres across the country to become advocates of road safety by obeying traffic rules and avoiding overspeeding.
The Lugbe Unit Commander, Muktar Garga, expressed appreciation for the timely intervention, revealing that the senior pastor fulfilled the promise of the vehicle within two weeks of a formal request.
