The Cross River State Command of the Nigeria Police Force will begin the physical and credential screening of applicants for the 2025/2026 police recruitment exercise in Cross River State on Monday, March 9, 2026.
The command said the screening will run until April 18 and will be conducted daily from 7:00 a.m. at the Police Officers’ Mess, Moore Road.
According to the command, the exercise is for applicants who are indigenes of the state and successfully completed the online registration for recruitment into the force as General Duty and Specialist Police Constables.
In a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Eitokpah Sunday, applicants were directed to appear for the screening in clean white T shirts and white shorts.
Candidates are also required to present two recent passport photographs, evidence of physical and mental fitness issued by a government recognized medical hospital, and a certificate of origin signed by the chairman or secretary of their local government area.
Other mandatory documents include original and duplicate copies of the National Identity Card or NIN slip, O Level results, birth certificate or declaration of age, printout of the application form, a duly completed guarantor’s form, and the invitation slip.
The police warned that applicants who fail to present the required documents will not be allowed to participate in the screening exercise. Candidates were therefore advised to strictly adhere to their scheduled screening dates and comply with all guidelines.
The command also stressed that the recruitment screening process is free of charge and will be conducted strictly on merit in line with standards of professionalism, transparency, and accountability.
Members of the public were urged to report anyone demanding money or any form of inducement in connection with the recruitment exercise.
