The All Progressives Congress (APC) has felicitated with Nigerians, especially the Muslim Ummah, on the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr, urging citizens to embrace the virtues of charity, self-reflection, and obedience that define the holy month of Ramadan.
In a statement released on Friday by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the party described Eid-el-Fitr as a time for spiritual renewal and communal harmony.
“A major Islamic festival to express gratitude to Allah for strength during the holy month of Ramadan, Eid-el-Fitr marks the successful completion of the month-long fasting, spiritual reflection, and obedience,” Morka noted.
The APC emphasized that the occasion should serve as a call to action, encouraging Nigerians to show kindness to the less privileged and to foster bonds of peace and fellowship. The party expressed optimism that the prayers offered during the season would translate into greater stability and unity across the nation.
“The occasion of Eid-el-Fitr also beckons on us to reach out to the needy and less privileged around us with kindness, love, and fellowship,” the statement read. “May the prayers and sacrifices of the faithful bring more peace and unity to our country as we work together for enduring progress and shared prosperity.”
