Senator Eteng Jonah Williams, representing Cross River Central Senatorial District, is steadily gaining momentum for his 2027 second-term bid following a high-profile dinner he hosted in Abuja for APC delegates from the Central Senatorial District ahead of the ruling party’s national convention.
The dinner drew prominent political figures, including the newly elected APC State Chairman, Rt. Hon. Chris Etta, Hon. Victor Abang of Ikom/Boki Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Elvert Ayambem, Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, state assembly members, local government chairmen, and APC chapter leaders from across the senatorial district. Also in attendance were former EFCC Executive Secretary, Barr. George Ekpungu, Barr. Tina Agbor, Board Member of Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti, and Cross River State Commissioner for Information, Erasmus Ekpang, Ph.D.
In his address, Senator Williams expressed gratitude to the delegates, describing the dinner as an opportunity to reconnect after successful state congresses and to celebrate the unity and strength of APC members in Cross River Central. He reaffirmed his commitment to collaborating with party leadership to ensure continued growth and national progress.
“I welcome all delegates to Abuja for the 2026 APC National Convention. This gathering allows us to strengthen our achievements and chart a forward-looking path as we prepare for the 2027 general elections,” Senator Williams stated.
Rt. Hon. Chris Etta praised the Senator’s initiative as a clear demonstration of dedication and commitment, expressing appreciation on behalf of the State Executive Committee for the warm reception and hospitality.
Senator Williams concluded by expressing optimism that the convention would further fortify the APC’s leadership and service to Nigerians while wishing all delegates a fruitful convention and a memorable stay in Abuja.
