A strategic alliance aimed at driving development and strengthening party cohesion is taking shape in Cross River North, as commissioners from the district moved to deepen collaboration with Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe during a courtesy visit to his Abuja residence.
The meeting underscored a growing alignment among key political actors in the northern senatorial district, with both sides expressing commitment to unity, effective governance, and sustained grassroots impact. The commissioners noted that the visit was part of efforts to build synergy that would translate into tangible benefits for the people.
Addressing the delegation, Senator Jarigbe commended Governor Bassey Edet Otu for ongoing infrastructural development across the northern part of the state. “The efforts of the state government in improving infrastructure in Cross River North are commendable and are already making a difference in the lives of our people,” he said.
He also highlighted the importance of peace and stability, noting that “no meaningful development can take place without a peaceful and stable environment.”
The senator urged the commissioners to remain committed to their responsibilities, stressing that “progress in our region depends on our ability to work together with sincerity, dedication, and a shared vision for development.”
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, the commissioners expressed appreciation for the reception and reaffirmed their resolve to collaborate closely with the senator. “We are committed to working in synergy with the Senator to ensure that development reaches every part of Cross River North,” they said, while also emphasizing that “unity within the APC remains key to strengthening the party and delivering on its promises.”
Those present at the meeting included Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment, Hon. Patrick Egbede, Commissioner for Sports, Hon. Agnes Atsu, Commissioner for Housing, Dr. Beatrice Igwe, and Commissioner for International Donor Coordination, Dr. Hippolatus Lukpata.
