The Director-General of the Nasarawa State Pension Bureau, Alhaji Suleiman Musa Nagogo, and other high-ranking officials are facing accusations of illicitly amassing wealth and maintaining a lifestyle that exceeds their legitimate means.
A petition addressed to the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on April 2 requests their arrest, prosecution, and confiscation of all illicitly acquired assets in accordance with the EFCC’s statutory obligations.
The petition, also addressed to the heads of the ICPC, DSS, and the Nigeria Police Force, was authored by concerned citizens who chose to remain anonymous as whistleblowers through Lafia-based Black Peak Chambers.
This is coming barely a day after a rights activist and former youth leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Comrade Abdulkarim Alanana, popularly known as Oscar Keana, accused top officials of the Bureau of looting pension funds.
Reacting, the management of the Bureau described the allegation as malicious, baseless, and malicious, threatening legal action, which attracted mixed reactions from residents.
