JUST IN: PDP National Secretariat Unsealed After Police Comply with Court Orders

The National Headquarters of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) at Wadata Plaza, Zone 5, as well as its Legacy House in Maitama, have been unsealed by the Nigeria Police Force and handed back to the party’s leadership, according to an official statement released today.

In a press release signed by National Publicity Secretary Hon. Jungudo Haruna Mohammed, the PDP’s National Working Committee (NWC) confirmed that the properties were reopened in full compliance with duly issued court orders. The premises were formally handed over to the National Chairman, Hon. Abdulrahman Mohammed Takushara, and National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyawu.

The party commended the police for what it described as “professionalism and adherence to the rule of law,” adding that the action demonstrated respect for constitutional order and due process.

However, the PDP issued a strong warning against any future attempts to obstruct or disrupt activities at the secretariat. “The Party strongly warns that it will not condone any act capable of causing obstruction, disruption, or breach of peace at the secretariat again,” the statement read. It noted that security agencies have been alerted to take necessary action against violators.

The party characterized the unsealing as a positive development, signaling that recent internal challenges have been “effectively resolved.” It called on all aggrieved members to “sheath their swords and embrace unity in the collective interest of the Party.”

In a notable expression of gratitude, the PDP acknowledged the support of its National Leader, His Excellency, Chief Barrister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, who currently serves as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory. The party described his support as “invaluable.”

The PDP concluded by reaffirming its commitment to moving forward “Stronger, United and more Committed to our shared Vision.”
