Paris Club Refund: I Didn’t Make Fresh Claims nor Collected $350m -Nwoko

By Deborah Coker

Sen. Ned Nwoko (APC-Delta) has  said that his company did not collect 350 million dollars over the Paris Club refund.

This is contained in a statement by the Ned Nwoko media team in Abuja on Friday.

The lawmaker representing Delta North Senatorial District, noted that his attention had been drawn to another “willful and malicious” publication by Sahara Reporters alleging fresh claims relating to the Paris Club refund matters.

According to him, the publication is false, misleading, and a distortion of facts that have been consistently examined by relevant authorities.

He explained that four separate investigations have been conducted by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), on the matter, including a recent review ordered by the current administration.

“All reached the same conclusion that the contractual work was duly executed, while outstanding balances remain due under established agreements.

“These findings are also supported by official records within the Federal Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank of Nigeria, where all federal payments are processed, documented, and subject to audit,” he said.

Nwoko added that allegations linking him to any improper collaboration with the Attorney General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi, were entirely unfounded and malicious.

“These narratives are being actively circulated by individuals including one George Uboh and Omoyele Sowore, whom I believed are driving a sustained misinformation campaign for personal or political purposes.

“Appropriate legal steps have been taken in response to criminal defamatory publications involving the individuals and their affiliated entities.

“I therefore urge the public to disregard unverified narratives and rely strictly on official records and established institutional findings.

“For the avoidance of doubt and for clarity, I state unequivocally that there is no “fresh claim”and that at no time was 350 million dollars paid to me or my company as I remain committed to due process, transparency, and the rule of law,” he said.
