The Management of De Rainbow Event Marquee has dismissed reports alleging that the minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, threatened to revoke its operating licence following the hosting of a political event.
Addressing a press conference in Abuja on Thursday, the director of De Rainbow Event Marquee, Dr Martina K. Yusuf, described the reports as false, unverified, and lacking credibility.
Dr Yusuf said the management had not received any official communication, either from the FCT Administration or any government authority, regarding a licence revocation or related sanctions tied to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) event held on April 14, 2026.
“The reports were not authorised by us and, to the best of our knowledge, are untrue,” Dr Yusuf stated.
She urged the public and the media to ignore the reports and rely only on verified information.
The clarification comes amid growing concern among clients with existing bookings at the venue, many of whom had sought reassurance over the status of their scheduled events.
Responding to these concerns, the management reaffirmed that the facility remains fully operational and committed to honouring all confirmed reservations.
It also emphasised that providing a safe, secure, and well-managed environment for clients remains its top priority.
De Rainbow Event Marquee further expressed appreciation to its clients and stakeholders for their continued trust and understanding, while reiterating its readiness to continue normal business activities without disruption.
