Hon. Abubakar Sadeeq Suleiman Picks Youth Party Nomination Form for Dekina/Bassa House of Representatives Seat

By Comrade Husseini Abdul

Hon. Abubakar Sadeeq Suleiman has officially picked the Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms to contest for the House of Representatives seat representing Dekina/Bassa Federal Constituency of Kogi State under the platform of the Youth Party.

Addressing newsmen shortly after obtaining the forms, Hon. Suleiman said his decision to join the race was driven by his passion to bring purposeful leadership, inclusive representation, and sustainable development to the people of Dekina/Bassa Federal Constituency.
He pledged to prioritize massive investment in agriculture, quality education, youth empowerment, and community development if elected into office.

According to him, agriculture remains the backbone of the local economy, and his administration would introduce modern farming support programs, access to agricultural inputs, improved storage facilities, and market opportunities for farmers across the constituency.

Speaking further, Hon. Suleiman emphasized the need to improve educational standards through better learning facilities, scholarships, teacher support programs, and youth-focused vocational and digital skills initiatives aimed at reducing unemployment and poverty.

He also promised to champion community-driven projects that would improve rural infrastructure, healthcare access, clean water supply, and economic opportunities for women and young people.

On the security challenges affecting parts of Dekina Local Government Area, particularly Oganenigu Ward, as well as areas within Bassa LGA, Hon. Suleiman expressed deep concern over the recurring incidents of insecurity and attacks on communities.

He assured residents that, if elected, he would work closely with security agencies, traditional rulers, community leaders, and relevant stakeholders to strengthen local security architecture and ensure the protection of lives and property.

He further promised to advocate for increased federal attention, improved intelligence gathering, community policing initiatives, and youth engagement programs aimed at addressing the root causes of insecurity in the constituency.

Hon. Suleiman called on the people of Dekina/Bassa Federal Constituency to support his vision for effective representation, unity, peace, and sustainable development.

He reaffirmed his commitment to transparent leadership, accountability, and people-oriented governance that would positively transform the constituency.
