In a personally signed statement on Wednesday, Tinubu praised the elderly statesman and former aviation supervisor with Shell Company Nigeria Limited for what he called a century of meaningful impact and dedication to national development.
He noted that Erogbogbo’s career reflected excellence and professionalism, highlighting his years of service across the Government Printing Press, the Nigeria Customs and Excise Service, and Shell Nigeria.
According to the President, “attaining 100 years is a remarkable blessing” and a reward for a life devoted to honesty, hard work, and selfless service.
Tinubu also acknowledged Erogbogbo’s contributions as a community leader in Ikorodu, Lagos State, saying his guidance and moral example continue to influence younger generations positively.
He further commended the centenarian’s mental sharpness and good spirit despite his advanced age, while rejoicing with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren over the milestone celebration.
Erogbogbo, who is the father of the Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, was also celebrated for his enduring legacy of service and family values.
