Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on Thursday paid a visit to ex-Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, at his Abuja residence shortly after the conclusion of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential primary.
Atiku was accompanied by prominent party figures, including former Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal, ex-ADC National Chairman Ralph Nwosu, and other political stakeholders.
The meeting comes amid heightened political discussions and reactions following the party’s primary election, where both Atiku and Amaechi played significant roles as leading contenders.
Although details of the discussions were not disclosed, the visit is believed to be part of wider consultations aimed at promoting unity within the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The closed-door engagement had not been made public as of the time of filing this report.
