Ekiti APC Sets Up Panel to Resolve Post-Primary Disputes

The Ekiti State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has inaugurated a reconciliation committee aimed at addressing grievances arising from its recently concluded primary elections and fostering unity within the party.

The move follows reported concerns and dissatisfaction from some stakeholders over the conduct of the state and National Assembly primaries in parts of the state.

In a statement issued on Saturday in Ado Ekiti, the party’s Publicity Secretary, Segun Dipe, said the initiative is part of efforts to present a united front ahead of the 2026 governorship election.

According to him, the committee will be formally inaugurated on Monday and is expected to engage all aggrieved stakeholders to resolve disputes and restore confidence across party structures.

He added that the panel is tasked with addressing complaints arising from the primaries while promoting harmony, cooperation and internal stability within the APC.

The committee will be chaired by former governor Segun Oni and includes prominent party figures such as former deputy governors Modupe Adelabu and Abiodun Aluko, Senate spokesperson Yemi Adaramodu, Ekiti State House of Assembly Speaker Adeoye Aribasoye, Secretary to the State Government Prof. Habibat Adubiaro, former commissioner Mrs Ronke Okusanya, and Akinwale Adeyeye, who will serve as secretary.

Reacting to the development, the state chairman of the party, Sola Elesin, said the APC values all its members and remains committed to internal democracy and inclusiveness.

He stressed that unity remains essential for electoral success, noting that the party continues to prioritise cohesion and shared purpose as it prepares for the next governorship contest.

Elesin reaffirmed that the APC in Ekiti remains focused on strengthening its internal structure and sustaining public confidence ahead of future elections.
