An indigene of Anambra East Local Government Area of Anambra State, Nwadiogbu was born on April 24, 1968, and enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force on June 10, 1994, as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police. He has served the force for more than three decades in various operational, investigative and administrative capacities.

The new commissioner holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, as well as a Master of Science and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in International Relations from the University of Uyo. He is also a member of the Nigerian Political Science Association.

Throughout his career, he has attended several professional policing and leadership courses, including the Basic Police Mobile Force Course, Advanced Detective Course, Tactical Leadership and Command Course, and Strategic Leadership and Command Course.

His policing experience spans several states, having served in different capacities in Cross River and Akwa Ibom states, including as Divisional Police Officer in multiple divisions such as Odukpani, Nsit Atai, Mbo, Ibeno, Onna, Eastern Obolo, Uruan, Ugep and Efut. He also served as State Commander of the Federal Highway Patrol in Akwa Ibom State and was among the pioneer investigators of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).

He later held senior positions as Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations in Cross River State Command, Area Commander in Okigwe, Imo State, Deputy Commissioner of Police in the Department of Finance and Administration, Taraba State Command, and Commissioner of Police in charge of Courses and Training at the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano.

Before his deployment to Benue State, Nwadiogbu served as Deputy Commandant of the Nigeria Police Academy, where he played a key role in the training and mentorship of cadet officers.

Upon assuming office, the commissioner assured residents of Benue State of his commitment to protecting lives and property while combating crime through collaboration with other security agencies, traditional rulers, religious leaders, community stakeholders and law-abiding citizens.

He also appealed to members of the public to support the police by providing timely and credible information that would enhance public safety and effective policing across the state.
