President Bola Tinubu on Monday received the President of Madagascar, Michael Randrianirina, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, as both leaders moved to reinforce diplomatic cooperation and deepen bilateral engagement between Nigeria and Madagascar.
The Madagascan leader arrived at the State House at about 2:57 pm on a courtesy visit, where he was welcomed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu.
After a brief reception at the forecourt, President Randrianirina was escorted into the President’s office for a closed-door meeting with President Tinubu.
The discussions are expected to advance mutual interests between both countries, with emphasis on regional development, economic partnerships, and broader African integration.
Nigeria and Madagascar have in recent years sought stronger collaboration across key sectors, reflecting a shared commitment to continental growth, cooperation, and sustainable development across Africa.
