Gov. Sule Approves Extension of Buku–Andaha Road to Ancho, Neighbouring Communities

Governor Abdullahi A. Sule of Nasarawa State has approved the extension of the Buku–Andaha road project to cover Ancho and the neighbouring communities of Arum, Anji, Pamapam and Ancho Wawaye in Nighaan District of Akwanga Local Government Area.

‎

‎The Governor made the announcement on Sunday at the Government House, Lafia, while receiving leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who visited to present the results of the just-concluded Nasarawa North Senatorial District bye-election won by Barrister Umar Danladi Halilu Envulu’Anza.

‎

‎Governor Sule directed the Directorate of Rural Roads to immediately commence the process of mobilisation to site for the road extension project, beginning from Monday, June 22, 2026.

‎

‎According to the Governor, the project is aimed at opening up rural communities, improving access to markets and social services, and enhancing economic activities across the affected communities.

‎

‎The Governor commended the people of Nighaan District for their support of the APC and their commitment to peaceful and constructive political engagement. He particularly praised key stakeholders from the district, including Professor Emmanuel Samu Dandaura, Barrister Hassan Wali, the State APC Organising Secretary, and other community leaders for their roles in fostering political harmony and mobilising support for the party.

‎

‎Governor Sule noted that the landslide victory recorded by the APC in the Nasarawa North Senatorial District bye-election was a clear indication that the people recognise and appreciate the efforts of his administration in improving their welfare and living conditions.

‎

‎He remarked that the overwhelming support received by the party demonstrated the confidence of the people in the policies and programmes of the government and their willingness to reciprocate by supporting initiatives aimed at accelerating development across the state.

‎

‎The Governor described the election outcome as a strong endorsement of his administration’s commitment to infrastructure development, economic empowerment and inclusive governance, assuring residents that more dividends of democracy would continue to reach communities across Nasarawa State.

‎

‎The APC stakeholders expressed appreciation to the Governor for his commitment to infrastructural development and pledged their continued support for the administration’s people-centred programmes and policies.
