The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Democratic Party (PDD) for the 2027 general election in Cross River State, Arthur Jarvis Achibong, has promised to revive the state’s economy and create wealth for residents if elected.

‎

‎According to him, the key to unlocking the state’s potential lies in effective leadership, innovative ideas, and a strong commitment to development.

‎

‎He assured residents that his administration would focus on creating generational wealth within four years through strategic investments and policies aimed at stimulating economic activities across the state.

‎

‎The governorship hopeful also promised support for traders and entrepreneurs, irrespective of their origins, noting that strengthening local businesses would be critical to expanding commerce and boosting the state’s economy.

‎

‎Achibong said his government would prioritise infrastructure development, job creation, and measures aimed at improving the quality of life of citizens.

‎

‎He further expressed confidence that faith in governance could be restored through transparent and people-oriented leadership.

‎

‎”Within our four-year mandate, we shall establish the infrastructure to improve the quality of lives, expand commerce, create dignity in employment and revive our sleeping economy.”

‎

‎The PDD candidate said that development under his administration would be visible, tangible and impactful, adding that collective efforts between government and citizens would help reposition Cross River for sustainable growth and shared prosperity.

‎

‎He urged residents to support his vision for a better Cross River, stressing that the state could achieve greater progress through unity and purposeful leadership.
