The Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA, says no fewer than 16 ships have arrived at the Lekki, Tin-Can Island and Apapa ports in Lagos, waiting to discharge petroleum products, food items and other cargoes.

‎The NPA disclosed this in its daily Shipping Position on Wednesday in Lagos.

‎It said that the vessels were laden with petrol, bulk fertiliser, bulk wheat, aviation fuel, bulk urea, bulk sugar, diesel, general cargo and other consignments.

‎The authority also said 28 additional ships carrying petroleum products, food items and other goods are expected to arrive at the Apapa, Lekki and Tin-Can Island ports between July 22 and July 26.

‎It stated that the inbound vessels are laden with bulk wheat, containers, fresh fish, petrol, trucks, fuel oil, diesel, crude oil, aviation fuel, general cargo and other containerised cargo.
‎
‎According to it, 21 other ships are currently discharging containers, petrol, aviation fuel, crude oil, bulk fertiliser, bulk gypsum and bulk at the ports.

‎Others included were gas, diesel, bulk wheat, bulk sugar, bulk urea, fresh fish, general cargo and base oil.
