Prince Abdullah bin Fahad bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Jalawi Al Saud, a member of the Saudi royal family, died in a London hotel after consuming a combination of alcohol and drugs, according to evidence presented at an inquest.
A toxicology report submitted before the court and cited by The Telegraph revealed that the 29-year-old had a blood alcohol concentration of 222mg per 100ml at the time of his death—almost three times the legal drink-driving limit of 80mg.
The report also found potentially fatal levels of gamma-hydroxybutyrate (GHB), commonly known as a party drug, along with traces of cannabis, alprazolam (widely known as Xanax), and other anti-anxiety medications in his system.
Court proceedings further revealed that Prince Abdullah had undergone treatment at the Priory Clinic in Roehampton, southwest London, about three months before his death. During his stay at the rehabilitation facility, he received treatment for alcohol dependency, benzodiazepine use, and the anti-anxiety medication pregabalin.
The inquest, held at the Inner West London Coroner’s Court, heard that the prince suffered a cardiac arrest after consuming large quantities of alcohol and drugs.
Prince Abdullah was discovered unresponsive in the bathroom of his locked fifth-floor room at the Marriott Hotel in Kensington, West London, on November 25, 2025. Investigators relied on medical and toxicology findings to determine the circumstances surrounding his death.
