Kaduna Begins 2026 Confirmation Exam for 3,000 Newly Recruited Civil Servants ‎

The Kaduna State Government has started its 2026 civil service examination aimed at confirming the appointments of about 3,000 newly recruited workers.

‎

‎The examination commenced on Wednesday at the ICT Centre of the Kaduna State University (KASU) main campus, Kaduna, and is being organised by the Office of the Head of Service in partnership with Kumesh Integrated Concept Ltd.

‎Speaking during the exercise, the Head of Service, Jummai Bako, described the examination as an important requirement for newly employed civil servants seeking permanent confirmation in the state workforce.

‎

‎Bako explained that confirmed civil servants are entitled to benefits such as leave of absence, transfer of service and access to in-service training, making the examination a crucial step in their career progression.

‎

‎She stated that the assessment covers subjects related to workers’ responsibilities, including administration, finance, law, medical fields and general knowledge of state and national affairs.

‎

‎According to her, the questions are divided into different sections to accommodate various professional categories and levels within the civil service.

‎

‎The Head of Service noted that the exercise involves staff from ministries, departments and the 23 local government areas of Kaduna State, while workers in tertiary institutions are excluded.

‎

‎She added that candidates who do not pass the examination would have another opportunity to retake it in 2027.

‎

‎Bako urged participants to take the exercise seriously, noting that successful confirmation comes with several advantages.

‎

‎She also commended Governor Uba Sani for providing funds for the examination and for his efforts towards improving workers’ welfare through salary adjustments and timely payment of entitlements.

‎

‎“Civil servants are the backbone of every administration, and we will continue to support the implementation of government policies,” she said.
