The City Boy Movement (CBM) has removed its Oyo State Coordinator, Ahmed Ajibola, from office over allegations of making insulting remarks against President Bola Tinubu, his son, Seyi Tinubu, and the organisation’s leadership.
The group, in a statement issued on Thursday by its Director-General, Francis Shoga, announced the appointment of Adewale Oladiti as Ajibola’s replacement.
According to the statement, Ajibola’s dismissal followed a disciplinary process that began after he was served a notice to respond to allegations contained in a petition against him.
The movement alleged that the former coordinator made abusive and derogatory comments against its national leadership, including the Director-General, as well as its patron, Seyi Tinubu, and President Tinubu.
The statement further accused Ajibola of acts of insubordination, disrespect towards constituted authority, and behaviour capable of damaging the reputation of the organisation.
It added that Ajibola was given 48 hours to submit a written defence, with a warning that failure to provide a satisfactory explanation could lead to further disciplinary measures.
The CBM said Oladiti was chosen as the new Oyo State Coordinator due to his commitment, grassroots involvement, and readiness to support the growth of the movement.
The organisation also clarified that the new coordinator would operate under the supervision and authority of the Oyo State Director of the City Boy Movement.
