Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected a 15-point Gaza peace proposal backed by United States President Donald Trump, insisting that Israel will not withdraw its troops until Hamas is completely disarmed.
Speaking during a cabinet meeting on Sunday, Netanyahu said Israel had rejected the document and was still discussing aspects of the proposal with Washington. He acknowledged that some of the American suggestions were acceptable to Israel, while others were not, stressing that his government would remain firm on issues it considered critical.
Netanyahu also ruled out the establishment of a Palestinian state under his leadership, declaring that Israel would not accept provisions of the U.S.-backed plan that conflict with its position.
According to the Israeli leader, the military will remain in place until Hamas is “genuinely disarmed.” He added that Israeli forces would continue taking measures to prevent threats against Israeli soldiers and civilians.
