The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has set the cost of the 2027 Hajj pilgrimage at N7 million for each intending pilgrim.
The Director-General of the board, Abubakar Ibrahim-Matawalle, announced the fare in a statement issued on Tuesday.
He also reminded prospective pilgrims that registration for the pilgrimage will close on August 25, 2026.
The board urged those who have not yet submitted their international passports to do so before the deadline to allow adequate time for documentation and other preparations.
It stressed that meeting the deadline would help ensure proper documentation and facilitate a smooth process for the pilgrimage.
Ibrahim-Matawalle called on intending pilgrims and other stakeholders to take note of the new fare and comply with all requirements within the specified period.
He further assured pilgrims that the board would continue to provide efficient services and work towards ensuring a successful 2027 Hajj operation.
