As the 2027 elections draw nearer, more communities and groups have continued to express support for the re-election bid of Governor Agbu Kefas and President Ahmed Bola Tinubu.

The Convener, Elder. Tanko Assemboh Shamaki, made the group decision known during a courtesy call on the Director General, Kefas Campaign Organization, Hon. Danladi Baido Tijos in Jailingo.

He said that they were in the residence of the DG to show their total support to Governor Agbu Kefas for second term in office.

“This support is total, wholistic, and with all intentionality because this government understands the primary aim of governance more than we could imagine.”

He disclosed that the protection of lives and properties of citizens is paramount, adding that the present government is brutal about it.

“It has dealt a deadly blow on insecurity and fought banditry to a standstill.

Today, in the entire Nigeria States, Taraba is the safest to stay, and sleep with your eyes closed,” he stated.

According to him, when the present government came on board, it identified gaps in some projects that were started, but yet to be completed.

“Some such as the greenhouse project (Cucumber and Sweet papper) is back again, thereby creating employment to many people. Others are the state of the art modern abattoir, Saminaka Jailingo Water project, Specialist Hospital turnaround, Donga and Ussa Referral Hospital, Takum – Ussa road, Jalingo City road network, Keke Ambulance, Hospital equipments and Drugs, Transformation of College of Nursing Science amongst others.

“I am not being political about this, but as a lieutenant in the Five Fingers agenda, I stand tall to say what he says he will do. He is a man of his words, slow to anger, but swift and focus to execute his plans in real time.

Victory is guaranteed, no surrender, no retrieve,” he added.

Elder Shamaki use the forum to request for a mobilization vehicle to enable the group carry out its activities effectively.

In his remarks, the Director General Kefas Campaign Organization, Hon. Danladi Baido Tijos, appreciated the group for taking such decision.

He describe Ichen as one of the peaceful amongst over eighty tribes in the history of the state.

“It is very difficult to find them in any criminal or other bad activities. They are hard working.

Kefas and the entire APC family are saying that Ichen as a Nation are supporting Kefas and I am satisfied that they are all with him.

Today, I am telling the world that Ichen Nation will vote Kefas and Tinubu come 2027 election.”

The Director General called on other Party Governorship Contestants to wait until Governor Agbu Kefas completes his eight years tenure, adding that his policies in the state have qualified him for another term of four years.

“Anybody contesting against Kefas should forget it, and come together to move the state forward. I call on our brothers and sisters to come and join us in the journey and vote for our Party for top to bottom.

Former Governor Jolly Nyame, late Danbaba Suntai and Darius Ishaku were all elected two terms, why should that of Agbu Kefas be different, no it will never be,” he said.

He disclosed that the Governor, through his free education policy, has paid over N3 billion for students’ WAEC and NECO.

“When the Righteous is on the throne, people rejoice.

Other states have gone far, because of free education. People in Taraba State may not understand this, until we leave office,” he stated.

Also speaking, the Director General Kefas Campaign Organization Taraba South, Hon. Bulus Maiyaki, said that endorsing Governor Agbu Kefas is the best option for the state.

“Anybody who fight government of the day will not succeed. We were taught to respect government of the day.”

He called on Ichen Nation to support the present government and vote for it to continue come 2027.

“Do not allow anyone to deceive you, for we the Itchen have agreed to we will vote for Kefas,” he stated.
