Jalingo, Taraba State – A Thanksgiving Service was held on Sunday at the McBride United Methodist Church in Jalingo for Brigadier General Jeremiah Aliyu Faransa, who is retiring from the Nigerian Army. The service was attended by family, friends, colleagues, and dignitaries.

Resident Bishop Johnwesley Yohanna, who represented the Episcopal Conference, spoke about the importance of thanksgiving in the life of a believer. He said that gratitude is essential for a fulfilling life and that it helps us to connect with God and others.

Brigadier General Faransa, who took the first Bible reading from the book of Isaiah 12:4-5, encouraged his colleagues who are still serving to have passion in their jobs. He said that they should work hard and trust in God, and that they will succeed.
