The nefarious activities of kidnappers currently running riot in Cross River state have taken a new dimension.
This followed the abduction of the Paramount Ruler of Akapbuyo, Etinyin Maurice Nya Ekpenyong in the wee hours of today.

Already, there are growing fears whether the son of the royal father who was fatally wounded during a scuffle to rescue the father will survive the gunshot wounds

Observers believed the sacrilege is a wake-up call to Governor Bassey Otu to accord priority attention to the security sector rather than the lip service that has given kidnappers and other criminal elements the impetus to keep most parts of the state especially Calabar and its environs under siege
