Abia CP Danladi Isa, Charges Newly Promoted Officers to Uphold Professionalism, Honourable Conducts

Abia State Commissioner of Police, Danladi Isa, has charged 63 newly promoted and decorated officers to uphold dedication, professionalism, and honourable conduct.

Speaking at the decoration ceremony held at the Command’s Officers’ Mess in Umuahia, CP Isa emphasised the importance of maintaining professionalism, integrity, and accountability in their roles.CP Isa reminded the officers that “to whom much is given, much is required,” and cautioned against incivility towards the public and corruption in all forms.He urged them to continue serving with dedication and represent the Nigeria Police Force honourably. According to him, the promotion is a call to higher responsibility and a challenge to perform better.

The Commissioner of Police also emphasised the need for the officers to be civil and respectful in their interactions with the public.

He noted that the police are servants of the people and must conduct themselves in a manner that earns the trust and respect of the public.He reiterated that: “The Abia State Police Command is committed to providing quality policing services to the people of Abia State. The command is working hard to ensure that the state is safe and secure, and that the rights of citizens are protected.”
The promoted officers include 16 who rose from Superintendent of Police (SP) to Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), 11 from Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) to Superintendent of Police (SP), and 36 from Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).In response, the officers expressed their gratitude and pledged to remain professional, civil, and diligent in their duties. They acknowledged the responsibility that comes with their new ranks and promised to work harder to justify the confidence reposed in them.

The promotion ceremony was attended by senior police officers, family members of the promoted officers, and other stakeholders. It was a moment of joy and celebration for the officers and their families, and it marked a new chapter in their careers.
