The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has ratified the expulsion of Hon. Leke Abejide from the party for acts of indiscipline. The National Working Committee (NWC) of the party announced the decision at its meeting in Abuja, reaffirming its commitment to discipline and integrity.
“The party reaffirmed that it would not tolerate any acts of indiscipline from its members as it seeks to build a party governed by discipline, character, and integrity,” said Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, National Publicity Secretary of the ADC.
The party has also directed the Kogi State leadership to fill vacant positions in the ward, local governments, and state executives, ahead of upcoming congresses. The move is part of the party’s efforts to strengthen its internal structures and prepare for future challenges.
The expulsion of Abejide is seen as a demonstration of the party’s commitment to upholding its values and principles. The ADC is expected to announce a timeline for its congresses soon.
