Apostle Femi Lazarus Warns Ministers, Gospel Musicians: “Return to True Worship or Risk Being Replaced”
The lead pastor of Light Nation Church, Apostle Femi Lazarus, has urged ministers and gospel musicians in Nigeria, to return to the true worship of God.
He emphasised that many ministers and gospel musicians have lost sight of their calling and have turned their ministry into a business.
“The same one who can shine the light on you can take it off. It’s very important, we understand.” Apostle Lazarus said in a viral social media video.
He noted that many gospel musicians and ministers have become more concerned with their image and reputation than with serving God.
Apostle Lazarus expressed concern that many ministers and gospel musicians have turned their calling into a business, charging exorbitant fees for their services.
“Somebody has charged five million naira to come here and sing. They will do drama. He will roll on the floor. He will cry. He’s doing his business,” Apostle Lazarus said. He emphasised that this approach to ministry is not sustainable and will ultimately lead to a loss of credibility and influence.
He emphasised that true ministry is not about performance or entertainment, but about seeking God’s presence and power.
“If we are all ministers together. God supplies our needs,” Apostle Lazarus said. He urged ministers and gospel musicians to return to a place of humility and dependence on God, rather than relying on their own abilities and resources.
Apostle Lazarus also warned that God will soon bring up new voices from other countries to replace the corrupt and compromised ministers in Nigeria.
“It will stop. It’s just a matter of time. God will begin to bring up voices from countries you don’t expect, Uganda, Sudan, once God sees that there is a devilish wisdom flowing from Nigeria, that will corrupt the remaining part of the world,” he said.
The man of God added that God is not interested in promoting individuals or ministries that are driven by selfish ambition or a desire for fame and fortune. Rather, God is looking for humble and faithful servants who will seek His presence and power above all else.
