The Arewa Youth Development Ambassadors (AYDA) have expressed enthusiasm over President Bola Tinubu’s appointment of Yazid Danfulani as the Executive Secretary of the Solid Minerals Development Fund and the Presidential Artisanal Gold Mining Initiative.
In a statement on Saturday,Abubakar Abubakar, commended the choice, describing Danfulani as a staunch supporter of Tinubu and a dedicated mobiliser instrumental to the president’s campaign success in the Northwest and beyond.
“Danfulani’s appointment is not only a reward for his loyalty and efforts but also a recognition of the youth’s role in Northern Nigeria,” Abubakar said.
The group highlighted Danfulani’s contributions during the 2023 presidential campaign, where he leveraged his influence to galvanise significant youth support, ensuring a decisive victory for Tinubu.
Abubakar, however, warned against attempts to undermine the appointment, hinting at speculations of sabotage. “Any move to shortchange Danfulani by replacing him with someone less deserving will be fiercely resisted,” he said.
The AYDA urged President Tinubu to remain resolute in supporting loyalists like Danfulani and to prioritize the inclusion of Northern youth in his administration.
Danfulani’s appointment, announced on Dec. 6, is seen by the group as a strategic decision aligned with the president’s broader agenda for empowering young Nigerians.
