Bayern Unleash Hurricane of Goals in Historic Freiburg Fightback

Bayern Munich staged an incredible comeback to smash Freiburg 6–2, overturning a two-goal first-half deficit and extending Vincent Kompany’s side’s lead at the top of the Bundesliga to eight points.

The Bundesliga giants returned from the international break with a thrilling performance, led by Michael Olise, who scored a brace and registered a hat-trick of assists.

Freiburg opened the scoring in just 12 minutes through Japanese international Yuito Suzuki, who finished a perfect close-range effort.

The visitors doubled their advantage when young midfielder Johan Manzumbi scored off a brilliant delivery from Jan-Niklas Beste, marking Beste’s first assist of the season.

Before halftime, Bayern halved the deficit with a stunning finish from young forward Lennart Karl, who netted from 12 yards with a precise assist from Olise. Karl then returned the favour, setting up Olise to score from the edge of the 18-yard box and bring the game level at 2–2.

Bayern completed the turnaround early in the second half, taking the lead through a corner set piece from Olise, who found Dayot Upamecano to head the ball home.

Kompany’s men kept up the pressure, with their fourth goal coming from Harry Kane, assisted by Aleksander Pavlovic.

Olise continued to dominate, providing his third assist of the game and sixth of the season to set up Nicolas Jackson, who finished into the bottom-right corner.

Minutes later, Olise scored his second goal of the night, a stunning strike from outside the box, finished off after a brilliant long pass from Hiroki Ito, marking his return from a long injury layoff.

The result keeps Bayern firmly atop the Bundesliga, eight points clear of Leverkusen, as Vincent Kompany’s side now turn its focus to a high-stakes Champions League clash against Arsenal at the Emirates next Tuesday.
