Mojisola Meranda, speaker of the Lagos state house of assembly, has stepped down from her position after 49 days in office.
The speaker resigned after a meeting with Mudashiru Obasa, the embattled former speaker, Cornelius Ojelabi, chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Lawal Pedro, the attorney-general of Lagos state.
