Tinubu and the Federal Executive Council scrapped the Ministry of sports development, the National Sports Commission will take over the role of the Ministry of Sports.
The decision was taken today at the meeting of the Federal Executive Council in Abuja.
President Tinubu and the FEC have decided to abolish the Ministry of Niger Delta and the Ministry of Sports Development.

In their place, a new Ministry of Regional Development will be established to supervise all regional development commissions, including the Niger Delta Development Commission, North West Development Commission, South West Development Commission, and North East Development Commission.
The National Sports Commission will assume the responsibilities previously held by the Ministry of Sports.
The FEC has also given its approval for the merger of the Ministry of Tourism with the Ministry of Culture and Creative Economy.
