Police in Tennessee are still searching for 28-year-old Austin Robert Drummond, who is accused of killing four family members and abandoning a baby in a stranger’s yard.
The case took a new turn on Friday when investigators found a white 2016 Audi A3, believed to have been used by Drummond, abandoned in Jackson County.
The vehicle was located roughly 70 miles from the scene of the killings in Tiptonville and about 40 miles from Tigrett, where the seven-month-old baby girl was discovered unharmed earlier this week.
Authorities believe Drummond had been living out of the car before it was recovered.
The victims in the case were identified as James M.
Wilson, 21, Adrianna Williams, 20, Cortney Rose, 38, and Braydon Williams, 15. Wilson and Adrianna were the parents of the baby girl, Cortney was the child’s grandmother, and Braydon her uncle.
Their bodies were discovered earlier this week inside a home in Lake County. The baby, now safe in state care, was left on a porch hours before the victims were found.
Drummond has been charged with four counts of first-degree murder, aggravated kidnapping, and firearm-related offences.
Officials confirmed that he was known to the victims and had a previous relationship with the family.
His criminal record includes a juvenile armed robbery conviction in 2013, followed by repeated misconduct while in prison.
He was released in September 2024 and was out on bond for unrelated charges at the time of the killings.
Law enforcement, including the FBI and Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, are offering a $15,000 reward for information that leads to Drummond’s arrest.
Authorities warn the public not to approach him and to report any sightings immediately.
The search continues across rural areas of northwest Tennessee, with officers working around the clock to track him down.
