By Omonu YG Nelson

China Media Group (CMG) has reaffirmed its commitment to telling the story of China’s reform and opening up, with a focus on Chinese modernisation. The event which took place on Thursday, July 25, was themed “Global Opportunities in Deepening China’s Reform in the New Era,” CMG highlighted its efforts to showcase the country’s progress through high-quality features and documentaries.

“Chinese modernization, as the theme of comprehensive deepening of China’s reform, continues to advance through reform and opening up, and will surely embrace broader horizons,” said a CMG representative. “China will also work together with other countries to create a bright future for modernization.”

CMG has been actively building bridges for exchanges, dialogue, and mutual learning between China and the world. “We are actively fulfilling our media responsibilities, producing a large number of high-quality features and documentaries, such as ‘Charting the Decade’ and ‘Our Journey,’ to present to the world the vitality and impressive practices of Chinese modernization,” the representative added.

The media group has also launched initiatives like the CMG Forum, media partners mechanism, and “Opportunities in China” Global Media Dialogue to promote cultural and people-to-people exchanges. “We are actively expanding our international ‘circle of friends,’ collaborating extensively with cultural institutions, international organizations, and think tanks from various countries,” the representative said.

CMG’s goal is to contribute to a world of peaceful development, mutually beneficial cooperation, and shared prosperity. By sharing China’s story and exploring global opportunities arising from its deepening reforms, CMG aims to establish platforms for collective wisdom and discussion.

He praised China’s proposal for a global community with a shared future, emphasizing cooperation and collaboration among nations.
