CIFCFIN Confirms Isa Salifu Registrar/CEO.

The Chartered Institute of Forensics and Certified Fraud Investigators of Nigeria CIFCFIN council has approved the appointment of Dr Isa Salifu as the substantive Registrar General and Chief Executive officer CEO of the institute.

Salifu who was appointed in acting capacity in 2023 was confirmed during the extra ordinary meeting held on Sunday.

According to the release, his confirmation was geared towards stabilizing the institute in line with it’s mandate with a view to rooting out fraud and corruption in Nigeria, deploying the cutting edge forensic tools and expertise.

“With CIFCFIN as the only professional body charged with the multidisciplinary and multi-sectoral mandate to promote and advance the practice of forensic investigation in the country, the new leadership is expected to provide the enabling environment.”

The new Registrar, an accomplished and seasoned professional, Banker , Tax consultant, certified forensic expert, management consultant with diverse managerial , educational, professional and career achievements.

Salifu , a graduate of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, (BSC), Accounting and Masters in Business Administration(MBA) and Master in Science(MSC ), ( Technology, Innovation and Development of SMEs) both from Ahmadu Bello University and Ogun State University Ago iwoye, as well as a PhD on security and strategic studies from Nassarawa State University university, Keffi (NSUK).

Dr Salifu worked with EcoBank Nigeria Limited as Deputy General Manager, Corporate Banking, North Region and Public sector/ Corporates pan Nigeria.

He also worked variously as Branch Manager, Divisional Head, Group Head, Regional Head, Ag Executive Director North at New Africa Merchant Bank, Inter city Bank, Diamond Bank, City Express Bank, and Afribank PLC (MainStreet Bank).

A member of professional bodies with several certifications which included FCNA, FCAI, FCFIP, FIMC, CMC , FCCFI among many others .

As a major player in a structured private sector before his appointment, he came on board with robust knowledge in strategic and performance leadership.

He is also involved in professional and leadership roles in several spheres and currently the Chairman FCT chapter CIFCIFIN, Member , Professional Training and Standard Committee of CIFCFIN, Member , Education, Training and ICT Skills committee of ANAN, and Executive Member, Nigeria Teqball Federal (NTF).

The release further congratulated Dr Isa Egah Salifu on his new appointment, while asking staff and members to support the visionary leadership of the new Registrar.
