Rev. Ande Emmanuel, Presiding Pastor of the United Methodist Church in Nigeria, Negatava, Jalingo, has urged Christians not to be afraid but to have faith in God. In his sermon, he encouraged believers to trust in Jesus Christ, despite the challenges and fears that come with living in a world filled with uncertainty.
“Today, we live in a world that is filled with fear… But the message I am passing today is that we should not be afraid, but learn to believe in Jesus,” Rev. Emmanuel said.
He emphasized that believing in Jesus Christ provides the opportunity to compose oneself in prayers and have faith in God to face challenges. “Whatever situation we find ourselves in, we should have faith in God,” he added.
The clergy also prophesied that the month of July would be a holy and blessed month, free from disturbances and filled with peace. “Tell anyone who wants to disturb you that ‘No parking,'” he said with a smile.
Rev. Emmanuel encouraged believers to surrender to God and not boast about their earthly possessions. “Our breath is in the hands of God, and when He takes it, we become nothing. That is the end,” he concluded.
The congregation was encouraged by the message, and many felt a sense of hope and renewed faith. As one member said, “I feel inspired to trust in God more and not let fear control my life.”
