Otta, Nigeria – Covenant University marked a significant milestone in its 22-year history as Dr. (Mrs.) Aderonke Atinuke Oni, a member of the pioneering class of 2006, became the first alumnus to achieve the rank of full professor.
Professor Oni, who graduated with a degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), was among 15 faculty members promoted to the professorial cadre, including 10 full professors and five associate professors. The promotions were announced by Vice-Chancellor Professor Abiodun H. Adebayo, following approval by the University’s Board of Regents.
Chancellor Dr. David Oyedepo congratulated the new professors, urging them to maintain their drive for success and remain committed to learning, research, and providing solutions. “Biography centers on value added. Anyone who stops learning is old. Anyone who keeps learning is young. The greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young. New findings refresh people,” he advised.
