The state chairman of the People Democratic Party PDP, Venatius Ikem Esq has lauded federal lawmakers from Cross River North for effectively representing their constituents at the National Assembly.
Vena, who stated this while assessing the performance of the lawmakers in the last year during a media interaction noted that the trio comprising Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, Hon. Peter Apanke representing Bekwara, Obudu, and Obanliku federal constituency as well as the member for Ogoja/ Yala at the House of Representatives, Hon Godwin Offiono Esq have performed creditably within the period under review.
According to the PDP boss,” Cross River North is blessed with a trio of erudite and articulated lawmakers who have demonstrated beyond doubt that they know their onions.
” They have been visible and audible on the floor of both Green and red Chambers. In terms of empowerment, their contributions toward uplifting the welfare of their constituents have been spectacular”
He revealed that in terms of capacity building, the three federal lawmakers have been exceptional in floating a well-thought-out empowerment scheme intended to promote self-reliance and job creation.
” Our lawmakers have developed a robust collaboration in addressing the peculiar challenges bedeviling our area, ranging from infrastructural deficit and youth unemployment.
“They have been able to attract the road, bridges, health centers all in tandem with state government efforts in tackling the socio-economic backwardness prevailing in Cross River Northern Senatorial District”
The PDP state chairman assured the trio of support and cooperation in ensuring the smooth implementation of constituency projects facilitated by the district to meet the needs and aspirations of the people.
